Tesla Profits Plunge 71%; Musk to Scale Back DOGE Role to Refocus on Company

Although Musk's White House work has yielded certain results, much more remains to be done-as shown by Tesla, 71% profit drop and reporting its lowest quarterly sales since the year 2022. Thus, Elon Musk has announced that he would begin spending much lesser time with President Donald Trump, perhaps dedicating only a day or two for such work. Tesla's deliveries of vehicles experienced a 13 percent drop, closing the quarter with 336,681 vehicles delivered. The company also experienced a 50 percent drop in share prices.

Analysts state, "If Musk departs the White House there will be enduring brand harm…but Tesla will have its most valuable asset and strategic mind back as full time CEO to lead the vision and the long term narrative will not be impacted," stated a Wedbush Securities analyst note. Should Musk opt to remain at the Trump White House it might alter the destiny of Tesla/brand harm will increase.
